Play Bad Run Good!

Well Im pretty sure the hand im posting today is one of the worst hands i've ever played in my career. Not only did I break my number 1 NL rule of always folding when I get minraised without the nuts but I reraised him telling myself I would fold to a shove. Well I did the opposite and actually put over $400 in behind with only 2 outs. However todays lesson is play bad run good so magically I turned 8 outs and rivered a gin card to scoop the dime pot. If there is ever a sour taste in my mouth after winning a dime pot it is when I get my money in that badly and win. I almost feel like I dont deserve it and should give it back. However that has happend to me so many times over the last 4 months I just said ship it to myself and closed down and called it a day.

Back from Dallas!

Finally back from Dallas and back to work. I must start out by giving a little shot out to our BBall team as we won the city title and received the #1 seed in the state tournament next weekend. Nice work fellas. I have played a few mini sessions since being back and have just been up and down. Hopefully we can get back on a little up swing. I will post a hand I think I played pretty well tonight.

In Dallas for the week!

After a long weekend of poker at the club with Jbird I am now in Dallas for a week long vacation. The weather is amazing here, and just hanging out and chillen being stress free is great. I will be playing a couple live sessions at the casino here as they have a nice 510 NL game here. So tonight and tomorrow night will be the only poker of the trip. Hope its warming up back home so when I get back home we can really get the softball season rolling.

1 day in my life!

Days like today are the exact reason why I play this stupid game for a living. My day has went like the following: Wake up at 1 pm in the afternoon after a great night sleep, throw a mini pizza in the microwave and then smash it. Proceed to take a shower and throw some comfy sweats on, and put on Sports Center. Surf around web, check email and attend to some softball duties. Then fire up a pokes session and beat a guy out of $1200 in 35 minutes and call it a work day. Follow that up by some playstation 3 MLB The Show. Get ready and go have a nice dinner at Cheesecake Factory and grab the movie Role Models on the way home and call it a day. Now obviously everyday doesn't go like this but there is enough of them to definately make it worth it. Hope everyone is crushin them donks or getting off work early today for your real workers out there! Ship all Whips and like Snoop would say "until the next episode" One love!

I know you all must think I have been running bad because I have not posted in a while, but that is not the case. I had a little bad run at the park so I took a few days off to regroup along with spending some time with my fiance at marriage counseling. I must say that was one of the toughest 12 hour workshop I have ever done in my life, and I had plenty of those in college but nothing as brutal as that. Pissen me off a lil bit so I told the Deac he sounded made up!
Anyways I also chopped MLB 09 The Show with my boy Jordan and I have not been able to stop playing it since I got it. It is the sweetest baseball game I have ever played.
We officially won the Apple Valley city league as we won by 25 tonight to finish the year undefeated and the #1 seed in the playoffs. Softball champs in the fall and now bball champs in the winter, hopefully we can be summer champs this summer and complete the trifecta! Anyways I have been pretty busy so not to much poker to post about but I will post one hand that is the classic case of the suck, resuck for $700! This is the hand where you almost break your computer and scream a profanity when the turn card peels off and then you yell SHIP IT and do a little jig when the river card is turned over.

Online and Live winnng sessions in the same day!

Today started out with a little online hu session. This session went very quickly as some donk tried to bluff me by shoving all his chips in on the river when he missed his and draw and I quickly called him with 2 pair and the online sesh was completed. I then made my way over to the club for some live action and instantly got stuck a rack. I managed to battle all the back to up like 600 when I picked up AA in the small blind and some how got the rockets to hold up. So I racked up and called it a day up 300 online and 800 live. Not to shabby of a day.

After a little downswing and a few days off I booked nice little winner today. I must say I really lost focus and took winning for granted and it bit me in the ass. Someday I will learn. Well our basketball team locked up the city league championship tonight. This is really nice because now we will not have to pay our state tournament fee and we will get next years league fee payed for.
